Sons on the Pyre is featured on Indie Band Guru!
– Sept 17th, 2014
Very grateful to this Berklee graduate, who has taken the time to listen to our latest album – Biorhythm – and spread the mojo via review! Indie Band Guru is dedicated to the Independent Artist and offers quite a few helpful tips, as well as seminars.
Below is a copy of their article and a link to their site.
“A real beauty of the new music scene, where a talented artist can record and produce his own music, is the freedom to make music that appeals to himself without the need to please some major label big wig that never even wrote a song before. Any ideas can be tried and mixed together until you personally are pleased with the music. One exemple of this musical freedom is our latest discovery Sons On The Pyre. The project from San Juan, Puerto Rico crafts an experimental kind of electronic rock. Many influences and genres can be felt in the music including Industrial, Electronica, Metal, Asian, Hindi, and even some Reggae beats. This is progressive music. The sounds of Nine Inch Nails have been a major influence to Sons On The Pyre both with their innovative sounds and frontman Trent Reznor’s fearless approach to the music industry and proving being an independent success is a possibility.
The latest record from Sons On The Pyre is Biorhythm. The 9 track album is an all out attack on the senses ready to mold your brain. The opener “Liberator” puts the listener in a trance like state with its keyboard rhythms and atmospheric sounds. Next is “Pillface” and a bouncy beat cut with a dark vocal track that attempts to enter your nightmares. This will grab your attention. There is a nice hard alternative rock song “In Silent Memory”. There is much more added here though with noise seeming to come at you from every angle. The dance floor is under seige on “Deaducation” with its techno sounds mixed with a haunting vocal full of impressive lyrics to make you think. By the time you get to the closer “Thank You” you will be mentally exhausted but Sons On The Pyre try to bring you down easy with an assortment of sounds mashed together letting you choose what to focus on.”
Whether it’s by getting them into trouble, ruining their image, or slandering their name, the U.S. Music Industry giant will always find a way to rid the thorns at its side. This article is only one example – helping expose the truth behind Michael Jackson’s death.
If you’ve read anything about Sons On The Pyre, you’ll know that I’m a big Michael fan. That’s no surprise; Michael had ‘big’ fans, all over the world. However, I’ve always kept an eye on Michael and the unfair treatment he’s received throughout the decades, and something always seemed off: His uncredited work on Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s Soundtrack, the Child molestation scandal & propaganda, & the events leading up to his death.
After reading the article, you’ll gain a better understanding of Michael Jackson’s death; why he died so young, and why some believe he was flat-out murdered. Be sure to watch the videos below, if you wish to see him explain things in his own words. Many of us didn’t get the chance to see.
“They never thought that this performer, myself, would out-think them. We can’t let them get away with what they’re trying to do, ‘cause now I’m a free agent.”
From the year 2000 to 2001, Michael Jackson had worked on his album “Invincible”, under his record label, Sony Music Entertainment. Shortly before the album’s release, Michael had a disagreement with Sony over the licenses to the masters of his albums. Despite the release date of 10/2001, Sony didn’t revert the album licenses to Michael until many years later. Michael opened his own investigation and discovered that his attorney was also representing Sony. This presented a conflict of interests.
Michael was also concerned about his music catalog. Sony was doing everything in their power to cause Michael’s fall, ultimately affecting his personal life, reputation and, more importantly, sales. Low sales meant that Michael would have to sell his share of the catalog at a very low price, in the future.
So, in 2002, Michael Jackson announced publicly that he was leaving Sony Music. Mind you, Michael had been a slave to Sony Music Entertainment for 30 years, generating billions of dollars for them. Needless to say, Sony didn’t appreciate such a valuable talent and asset leaving. But wait! Here are more quotes by Michael.
“I just owe Sony one more album – it’s just a box-set, really” …” So I’m leaving Sony, a free agent; owning half of Sony.”…”I own half of Sony’s publishing… and they’re very angry at me because of it.”
Michael Jackson was not only leaving Sony, he was taking 50% of Sony/ATV Music Publishing with him. What about Invincible? It proved to be a hit – making the original release date, topping the charts in 13 countries and selling over 13 million copies. Due to the lack of promotion, and the lack of an accompanying world tour, Invincible didn’t have the same success in the United States.
Sony went on to claim that their $25 million promo plan failed because Michael refused to tour in the U.S. Michael was found innocent of these charges. After the trial, he decided to sell half of his 50% stake in Sony/ATV Music Publishing to its co-owner, The Sony Corporation.
“Tommy Mottola is a devil”
Thomas Daniel “Tommy” Mottola was head of Sony Music Entertainment, at the time. Michael accused him of being racist and exploiting blacks to his own benefit. In the video above, Michael also tells the audience about Mariah Carey, who was married to Tommy Mottola from 1993-1998. After the divorce, Mariah still had to deal with Mottola stalking her and tapping her phone lines. This was probably no surprise to Michael, who had been working with Tommy Mottola since 1991. Michael stated openly that his relationship with Mottola dissolved due to Mottola’s corrupt working practices. Tommy Mottola is currently married to telenovela actor and singer, Thalia.
“The recording companies really, really do conspire against the artists.” Michael said.
In the video below, you’ll see Mottola express his point of view on The Today Show, with Matt Lauer. During the interview, you’ll learn that Mottola’s intentions are to take control of Michael Jackson’s music catalogue. Why would this man – someone that Michael was trying to keep his music away from – appear suddenly after his death, claiming to be the “shepherd and gatekeeper” of Michael Jackson’s music catalogue?
“Good art never dies”, Michael says. But, evidently, good artists do.
Michael Jackson’s “Killer”
On June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson died of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication after suffering cardiac arrest. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, said he had found Michael in his room, not breathing, with little to no pulse, and that he administered CPR on Michael to no avail. “Dr.” Murphy alleged that he couldn’t contact 911 in time, because there was no landline available; that he couldn’t use his cell phone because he didn’t know the exact address; that he tried to phone security, but got no answer. What kind of physician doesn’t know his patient’s address? How did he get there in the first place?
Michael was treated by paramedics at the scene and was later pronounced dead at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Shortly before his death, Michael had reportedly been administered propofol and three anti-anxiety benzodiazepines, lorazepam, and midazolam – drugs known to cause addiction, withdrawal, death and other side effects.
Keep in mind, Propofol is not a sleeping pill or painkiller; it’s a general anesthesia, administered intravenously to place patients in semi-comas before surgery. How is it possible that Michael developed an addictioni? More importantly, what kind of physician prescribes and administers known dangerous drugs for such frequent use?
Let’s assume that “Dr.” Conrad Murphy’s other allegations are true, that Michael had been experiencing withdrawal; that he was so addicted, he pleaded for a last dose of propofol, even moments before he died. Either way, what kind of physician places the judgment of an addicted patient over his own? And why are we to believe his word?
Around 6:30pm, June 24th (the day before his death), Michael arrived at the Staples center, where he’d been rehearsing for his London concerts, according to Ed Alonzo, a magician who was there at the time. “He looked great and had great energy”, he added. Rehearsal ensued ‘till well past midnight.
August 29th, 2009, Michael’s would-be 51st birthday. The Los Angeles County Coroner concluded that his death was a homicide. His personal physician was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011 and only served a two-year prison sentence.
In 2010, Sony Music Entertainment signed a $250 million deal with Jackson’s estate to retain distribution rights to his recordings up until 2017, and to release seven posthumous albums over the decade following his death.
Is it me? Or does this make no sense to you, either? There’s nothing we can do about Michael Jackson’s death. Personally, I only regret that he died without realizing how much people really loved him – and accepted him, whatever his color, whatever he looked like.
There’s no reason to let things like this happen to other artists in the future. But if word doesn’t spread, situations like these will inevitably continue unchallenged.
Below is a confirmed copy of the Superior Court’s document on Dr. Murphy’s case. Please, feel free to download, read through it and let us know what you think. And feel free to share this article.
Much to the dismay of the Vatican, an approx. 1500-2000 year old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara. Discovered and kept secret in the year 2000, the book contains the Gospel of Barnabas – a disciple of Christ – which shows that Jesus was not crucified, nor was he the son of God, but a Prophet. The book also calls Apostle Paul “The Impostor”. The book also claims that Jesus ascended to heaven alive, and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place.
A report by The National Turk says that the Bible was seized from a gang of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. The report states the gang was charged with smuggling antiquities, illegal excavations, and the possession of explosives. The books itself is valued as high as 40 Million Turkish Liras (approx. 28 mil. Dollars). Man, where is the Thieves Guild, when you need them?
According to reports, experts and religious authorities in Tehram insist that the book is original. The book itself is written with gold lettering, onto loosely-tied leather in Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ. The text maintains a vision similar to Islam, contradicting the New Testament’s teachings of Christianity. Jesus also foresees the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, who would found Islam 700 years later.
It is believed that, during the Council of Nicea, the Catholic Church hand-picked the gospels that form the Bible as we know it today; omitting the Gospel of Barnabas (among many others) in favor of the four canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Many biblical texts have begun to surface over time, including those of the Dead Sea and Gnostic Gospels; but this book especially, seems to worry the Vatican.
The Catholic Church wants in
What does this mean to Christian-derived religions and their followers? Quite a tight spot. The Vatican has asked Turkish authorities to let them examine the contents of the book within the Church. Now that the book has been found, will they come to accept the it and its evidence? Will they deny it altogether? Call it a “Muslim lie”, as did the “Truth” Magazine, in 2000? To many, this book is a beacon of hope, that believers soon realize that the object of their adoration is arbitrary; and that all text, especially religious text, is subject to interpretation.
What does this mean to atheists/agnostics/secular thinkers? Not much… Is the text real? Fake? Does it matter? Not really… But hopefully, this news inspires the religious to ask questions, instead of pointing fingers or believing anything blindly. Please, don’t go poking fun or tossing around the “I told you so!”s. The biggest danger of faith is when people believe what they want to believe, defending against any and all evidence; especially when that evidence revolutionizes their foundation from the ground up. And the biggest culprit to that danger is the ego trap: rejecting/criticizing others, for being unlike you. For centuries, the “defense” of blind faith has driven nations to war, violence, discrimination, slavery and to become the society of automatons that we are today; and for just as long, it has been justified with lies. If you know better, act like it.
